About the Product
Do I need a LED or UV lamp to cure the polish?
Yes. Peel-Off Lac is a gel polish and requires a lamp to cure properly.
- LED Lamp: 60 seconds per layer
- UV Lamp: 120 seconds per layer
Without a lamp, the polish will not cure correctly.
Is Peel-Off Lac damage-free?
Yes. Peel-Off Lac is designed to be removed without acetone, drilling, or aggressive filing when applied and removed correctly. It is vegan-friendly, 12-Free, TPO-Free, and cruelty-free.
What does "12-Free" mean?
12-Free means our formula is made without 12 ingredients that many beauty-conscious consumers prefer to avoid: HEMA, Hydroquinone, Benzophenone, Styrene, Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Camphor, Xylene, Formaldehyde, Ethyl Tosylamide, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP), and Phenoxyethanol. Peel-Off Lac is also TPO-Free, vegan, and cruelty-free.
What does TPO-Free mean?
TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide) is a photoinitiator used in some gel nail products. Peel-Off Lac is formulated without TPO. TPO has recently come under increased regulatory scrutiny in Europe, and many consumers now prefer TPO-free formulas as part of a cleaner beauty routine.
How should I store Peel-Off Lac?
Store bottles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep bottles closed when not in use and away from operating LED or UV lamps, as exposure to light may begin curing the product.
How long does Peel-Off Gel Nail Polish last?
Peel-Off Gel Nail Polish can last up to 10 days when applied correctly under normal daily conditions. Durability may vary depending on nail type, application technique, and lifestyle.
Durability & Expectations
Will it wear faster if I use my hands a lot?
Yes. Heavy or repetitive hand use such as typing, gardening, cleaning, manual work, playing musical instruments, or frequent water exposure can cause the polish to wear or lift sooner. This is normal for peel-off gel formulas.
What happens if it wears or lifts early?
One of the key benefits of peel-off gel is flexibility. If a nail lifts, you can easily remove and reapply the polish without acetone or filing.
How can I maximize wear time?
- Prep nails properly with gentle but thorough buffing and cleaning
- Apply very thin layers
- Fully cure each layer
- Use Primer for smooth nails
- Use Base & Top Peel-Off for additional structure and longer wear
Will the polish peel off if I wash dishes or shower in warm water?
No. Normal hand washing, showering, bathing, and washing dishes will not cause the polish to peel off. For removal, the edge of the colour must first be lifted before warm water can help loosen the bond.
Can I wear Peel-Off Lac if I use my hands a lot?
Yes. Many customers wear Peel-Off Lac while typing, playing musical instruments, gardening, and performing everyday activities. However, heavy hand use may reduce wear time compared to customers with less demanding daily routines.
Application
Do I need a base or top coat?
No. Peel-Off Lac is a 3-in-1 gel polish and normally does not require a base or top coat.
However, some customers choose to use additional products to customize their manicure:
- Base & Top Peel-Off or Vitamin Base & Top Peel-Off can be used to add structure and improve durability.
- UV Protector Top Coat can be used to add shine and help extend wear time. After curing, the dispersion layer should be removed with Nail Cleaner.
How do I apply Peel-Off Lac?
- Gently mattify nails with a buffer.
- Clean nails using Nail Cleaner.
- Apply a very thin first layer of colour.
- Cure for 60 seconds under an LED lamp.
- Apply a second thin layer.
- Cure again for 60 seconds.
- Apply a third layer if additional coverage is desired.

Should I wipe the polish after curing?
No. Peel-Off Lac does not need to be wiped after curing.
If you wipe the colour after curing, the finish may become dull. Simply apply the colour, cure it under the lamp, and you’re done.
Base & Top Peel-Off, Vitamin Base & Top Peel-Off, and UV Protector Top Coat leave a sticky layer (dispersion layer) that should be removed with Nail Cleaner after curing when used as a top coat.
Lamp Usage
How should I use my LED lamp?
- Connect the lamp to a USB power source.
- Place your hand inside the lamp.
- Press the power button once for a 30-second curing cycle.
- Press the power button twice for a 60-second curing cycle.
- The lamp will switch off automatically when the selected cycle is complete.
Which timer setting should I use?
The lamp includes both 30-second and 60-second timer settings. For Peel-Off Lac, we recommend curing each coat for 60 seconds. This helps ensure proper curing, durability, and a glossy finish.
Why is my polish still soft after curing?
This is usually caused by:
- Applying coats that are too thick
- Not curing long enough
- Using a weak or incompatible lamp
- Not positioning the nails correctly under the LEDs
Applying thin layers and curing each layer fully will produce the best results.
Can I use another brand of LED lamp?
Yes. Most quality LED lamps suitable for gel polish will cure Peel-Off Lac properly. Cure times may vary slightly depending on lamp strength.
Can I use a UV lamp to cure Peel-Off Lac?
Yes. Peel-Off Lac can be cured using either an LED lamp or a UV lamp.
Recommended curing times:
- LED lamp: 60 seconds per coat
- UV lamp: 120 seconds per coat
Removal
How do I remove Peel-Off Lac?
- Gently lift the edges with an orangewood stick.
- Soak nails in warm water for a few minutes if needed.
- Gently peel off the polish.
No acetone or drilling required.
What if the polish is difficult to remove?
This usually means your nails are naturally porous or have become overly rough from buffing. Avoid aggressive buffing or use a finer-grit buffer. Excessive buffing can cause the colour to adhere more strongly and make removal more difficult.
Primer is generally recommended for very smooth nails that struggle with adhesion, not for porous nails.
Troubleshooting
Why does the colour last only a few days?
This usually means your nails are very smooth. Use Primer after buffing in place of Nail Cleaner and allow it to air dry for approximately 60 seconds before applying colour.
Applying UV Protector Top Coat may also help improve wear time and durability.
Why do bubbles appear in the colour?
Bubbles occur when the polish is applied too thickly. Apply very thin layers and cure fully between coats.
How can I get more structure or strength?
Use Base & Top Peel-Off or apply a third thin layer of colour for added structure.
Why doesn't my polish last 10+ days like some customers report?
Every person’s nails are different. Wear time can vary based on nail type, preparation, application technique, and daily activities. Using Primer on smooth nails and UV Protector Top Coat may help improve durability and extend wear time.
Nail Types
Is this suitable for fragile or thin nails?
Yes. Peel-Off Lac is gentle on nails. For fragile or thin nails, we recommend using a fine-grit buffer and the Vitamin Base & Top Peel-Off for additional care.
What if I have very smooth nails?
Very smooth nails often benefit from Primer to improve adhesion and maximize wear time. Use Primer after buffing in place of Nail Cleaner and allow it to air dry for approximately 60 seconds before applying colour.
Kits
Do I need the full Starter Kit?
If you’re new to Peel-Off Lac, we recommend a Starter Kit.
If you already own a compatible LED lamp, the Refresh Kit may be a better option. Additional nail polish colours can be purchased separately.
